For Steve

You know you're behind when your husband's boss calls you out. So here it is: June Part 2.

June 12: Riding the Rice's Bull
Our neighbors are great. Not only are they kind and friendly, they have a saw-bull that will make an occasional appearance in their front yard for roping-practice purposes. Awesome.

June 13: Daily Life
One of my "normal" routines is meeting up with friends at Starbucks and walking to a nearby park to chat and watch our kids play. Life is tough sometimes. :) (Insert some sarcasm here - these outings are rarely devoid of dirty diapers, meltdowns, and other things that daddies are actually happy to leave behind as they head off to work - however, it's also pretty awesome.)

June 14: Birthday Girl
If you don't have a Bethany in your life, you should wish that you did. On my birthday she organized this: a shopping trip sans kiddos and some skrill to cover the bill. Score! (I bought my first Cricut die-cutter! Wahoo!)

June 16: Passport
Lord willing, the Sorbellos will be flying off to Cancun once again at the end of September. Apparently we did something right two years ago and the Foresters invited us back! We are VERY excited. And Sofia, not even a twinkle in our eyes on the last trip, was in need of a passport. Voila.

June 17: Jason Gambonini
Also known as "Gambo" came for a visit and Siena put him to work immediately.

June 18 & 19: Father's Day/Anniversary Trip to Marin
These pictures got all out of order when uploading, so I've abandoned hope of taking you along on our trip in chronological fashion. Instead, peruse in timeless confusion and I'll try harder next time. We had a great trip to the bay, celebrating seven years of marriage as well as some wonderful daddies.

Little girls can never have enough stuffed animals. The seals routinely accompany Siena to bed now.

Lunch in Saucilito was tasty. Deli sandwiches consumed on a windy bridge overlooking the bay. Delightful.

Why park in the open space out front when you can park WAY far away up hill?!?!

Wonderful Grammy, an object of worthy adoration for these three "big kids."

These next few are thanks to Shiloh, feeling his photo-artsy-ness coming out. (But I get to claim the post-edit.)

Order mayhem. Sigh. But this is toward the beginning of our trip overall, but at the end of our first stop: Marine Mammal Rescue Center in the Marin Headlands.

Poor Sarah, getting eaten by a garbage fish.

The boys are choosing their toy carefully. Grammy offered to buy the big kids each a toy from the gift shop. Zekers considered a bouncy ball. Luke opted for a tube of small rubber marine animals. What did Siena petition Grammy for? A $30 stuffed seal pillow. A true necessity? Apparently not, go figure. But she did score a decently large and pleasingly soft Seal and pup combo. (Seen above.)

Shhh! Seal hospital.

Aw, another garbage fish casualty. Sofia doesn't understand the gravity of the situation.

Ah ha. Starting to see a pattern here: photos uploaded backwards. From top to bottom it will go end of day one to beginning of day one, then end of day two to beginning of day two. If that's too confusing, just ignore and enjoy our cutie children... like this next one...

Siena's "beach dance" that she busted out as soon as she was released from her car seat. Couldn't contain her excitement!

DONUTS

A quick stop-over in Napa for breakfast at ButterCream Bakery may rival the bounty of Gayle's in Capitola... maybe.

Visiting the Ludwicks new house in Pengrove (near Petaluma) was very fun. The kids romped around while the adults chatted and then all enjoyed several yummy desserts before heading back to Davis.(Zeke and Siena weren't cooperating.)

Davis needs one of these restaurants. So yummy. So many options.

Happy 7 years, bean!!

This is the lighthouse that we didn't want to see anyway, thank you very much park ranger (who closed the stairs just as we arrived). Pretty sure steps sandwiched by sheer cliffs wasn't a great option for our crew anyhow. But boy, was it beautiful!

It's all about perspective.

On the ferry, headed to Angel Island for lunch. Arrr.

"Here we GO, on a fer-ry BOat!"

Shiloh drove to the top of a hill in Tiburon and snagged this sweet shot. Very niiiice.

Embassy Suites pool. A bit deep, but a pool all the same. (P.S. How great are E.S.?)

June 23: Party in the front, work in the back.

Nat's premiere for Expedition Impossible at the Davis Graduate was fun - especially for Siena after Nat gave her some cookies.

Burgers and Brew in the park is the perfect solution for small children. It's a tradition when my parents come to town. We hope they come more often. :)

June 24: Pool girls
Another one of those things that makes my job look really plush.

June 25: Farmer's Market, Fish Tacos and RiverCats
Just another Saturday...

Siena's favorite colors: green and blue

Which is worse: Dinger...?

Or fireworks?

June 28: Friend Visits
The Ludwicks couldn't stay away long! ;) While their house was getting worked on in Petaluma, they jaunted to Davis for the day. Later on, my good friend Lyndsey came over for a very refreshing hour with a friend I don't see enough!

And that's all I've got. Wait, that's not true. Stay tuned for July...
