Other Activities

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind as we completed the move from the Lillard house to Danube house...
Let there be carpet! We found left-over carpet for the carpet guys to use to fill in the areas that had been covered with shelving. They did a great job filling it in and it was nice to have the rest of the carpet cleaned.

One of my few jobs: figuring out old phone jacks. It only took a few tries, some internet assistance, and some good sweat.

The ceilings got textured after the cottage cheese/popcorn was removed. Brooks Painting sent Flint to retexture everything, and he did a great job. Now, for some paint...

Shiloh painting our office ceiling an exotic white. Dad Sorbello graciously did almost all of the painting... and he did an impeccable job!

My other job: Sanding the nasty, old, white coating off the kitchencabinet.

Andy, T, and Shiloh unload the piano. Wish I could have helped... ;)

Dad putting his electrical engineering skills to use, installing ceiling fans.

Mom and I, working REALLY hard on things.

Joe Friis and Shi attacking some privett stumps. Next up: Crab Apple.

Shiloh and the GrassHog. He is very happy with it, but the grass should be very afraid...

Dads are good at fixing faucets and installing water hoses to refrigerators. Some faucets just take longer than others.

Mom Sorbello, Kelly, Bethany, Richie and Luke all came outside to see Shiloh mowing for the first time at the house. All sprinkler heads remained intact, and he only cut the cord to the electric mower one time. Yay Shiloh!

well, as much as i complain about summer school, i have to say that i'd rather be pretending to care about an academic subject than scraping cabinets. glad you were able to get so much done, and way to go shiloh on only cutting the mower cord once!!

also, sam, sorry to have missed out on the showers!! (but you know i wouldn't have brought much of a gift anyway.. haha)

What a difference on the house. It looks great. And Shiloh, welcome to joys of home ownership!(The good news is you get to own cool electric and gas-powered toys.)

Owning a home is great for people who get bored easily . . . you never run out of things to do. You have just begun to live the full life!
