Weekend in Atherton

Friday morning at 6:45, Poppy picked Siena and I up so we could catch the 7:15 train to San Jose. It was still a little chilly outside, so Siena donned a cute-as-a-button bear suit borrowed from her cousin Luke.

Siena spent most of her first train experience sleeping - I think she was overwhelmed with excitement.

In Atherton, Siena finally got to meet Uncle T - or "Tuncle." She really liked him; we could tell.

We think he liked her, too.

The Garners came over for dinner and "bones" (Mexican Train with Dominos).

Siena also had her first experience with the Nicholson family dog, Copper. Copper was very interested in Siena and licked her every chance she got.

Poor Copper was feeling attention deprived, so Shiloh gave her a little love. (He also apparently let her in the bed with him and Siena while I was in the shower.)

Daddy love.

Auntie Katie (or Kauntie?) really loves her niece. She was happy to hold her at any chance she got - which was often, so that mommy could relish having two hands for a while.

Siena is one of the cutest babies in town, thanks in large part to her Aunt Bethany who kicks down outfits like the bear suit and this "snoopy baby" sleeper that was probably enjoyed by Joseppe.

Grandpa also loves baby, and baby loves watching soccer with grandpa.

Georgia came over on Saturday to meet Siena and got her baby fix. She's a natural baby lover.

The Hooter Hider, also on loan from Bethany, comes in very handy when Siena is hungry in public, as most people aren't as excited about the milk-producers as Siena is. Those who are excited about them shouldn't be looking anyway.

After church on Saturday night, we traipsed off to Max's Restaurant for a tasty dinner. We tried to get the free chocolate cake that comes when the waiter doesn't ask how your food is within 4 minutes of serving it, but we felt bad calling him on it. Oh well. Next time.

Siena slept through most of dinner, but started getting a bit hungry toward the end. We didn't have a pacifier along, so Shiloh stepped in to do the job.

Pacification in action.

And now we're back for another exciting week in Davis! Monday morning "tummy time" turned out poorly. Siena will never be able to hold her head up. ;)

Shiloh's big trial resumes tomorrow. Read about it here.

Some cool shots taken by Grammy (a.k.a. Baba) Sorbello:

I love how excited Siena is about everything. No ADD there... But after all, she is used to a womb... and she does like those "fingerpops" as we call them. The best pacifiers ever. ;) Love her in the bear suit!

GREAT photos. Can't believe how well the Snoopy Baby fits her! She looks sooooo cute in it. It was actually worn by Joseppe's twin, Jennifer. :)

Siena looks so adorable in the bear suit. Great pics! And I am happy to hear about the dog pile-- Shiloh, baby bear Siena and Copper in a warm pile of love!

Love all the photos, especially the bear-on-the-back picture and the black-and-whites. Good luck on that trial, Shiloh.

does this make me "Grantie"? personally, i think that sounds more like I am a grandma than an auntie.

she is looking even more beautiful, each day.
